MMT heads off to Flinders Ranges!

...and we're off! Christian led the Tourers down the Great Ocean Rd and on to Casterton, Goolwa and the Barossa Valley as we headed north to the Flinders Ranges...

We'll be posting more news and photos in the club magazine soon, but so far we can report:

• John explored a new and totally alternative route from Port Campbell to Allansford to the one taken by the rest of the group
• Tim's culinary low was a pastie bought at a takeaway at Kingston: "It tastes even worse now that I've looked at it"
• The fastest vehicle on tour was Ross L's white Toyota Corolla with automatic transmission, which seemed to always get to our destination each day much earlier that the bikes did, even when taking the same route!
• The only sign of life of Point Pass, a bustling metropolis on the World's End Highway, was a solitary sheep wandering down the main street
• Hawker is a gastronome's paradise, with schnitzel (your choice of chicken OR beef) available from both the pub menu or the general store freezer, with no fewer than four sauce options (mushroom, diane, pepper, or parmagiana) providing the diner with a dazzling array of meal options!
