newsByron Navigates Nyora (and other places)Sunday 25 April 2010 Byron led a happy group of bikers and gunzels along the scenic roads to Korumburra where we took a scenic train ride to Nyora and back. | Click here for full ride report |
We raced rainclouds across South Gippsland, attempting to outrun them but in some cases managing only to remain under them!
We enjoyed a train ride from Korumburra to Nyora along the fabulously scenic South Gippsland Railway aboard an old "Red hen" Adelaide suburban train.
Upon return to Korumburra, we got back on the bikes and crisscrossed the Strzelecki Ranges on roads that quite possibly have never seen a roadbike (much less Byron's scooter!) ever before, visiting charming locales along the way such as Leongatha, Bayles, Ruby, and the delightfully named Poowong.
Watch out for the full ride report (and details of the forthcoming cinema release) in next month's "Chain Lube" magazine.
In the meantime, click here for a few photographs from the day...
