Phil's Mystery Ride to Maryborough anywhere dry

2008-07-20

The Motorcycle Tourers continued their wet-weather motorcycle road-testing this weekend with Phil's "Mystery Ride", in which we got to explore the mystery of why people ride motorcycles in driving rain.

We decided to ditch the original destination of Maryborough when by Woodend, John's boots began to overflow with water and Phil's hands required defrosting. We dropped into a pub with a nice open fireplace before heading off through Lancefield, Kilmore and Wallan, with rainclouds chasing after us.

A full ride report will of course appear in next month's Chain Lube magazine, as soon as we've managed to dry it out. In the meantime, click here for a few photos.

Thanks to Brett and Adam for the photos, particularly Adam who braved wintery weather to get some "ride-by" shots.
